Kommentare"I think every good musician should follow his heart and do his art without any compromises sincerely when the inspiration is there. J.O. Simon belongs to the most inspired Independent musicians from Germany, and he is richly blessed with stylistic skills in so many genres, even if this kind artist's work is mainly focused on good old rock music. So - J.O. also makes excursions to genres to as different as Electronica or Avant-garde, and sometimes he can't completely deny his love for elements of Country and Folk! "Les baricades mistérieuses" is an excursion to Classical music. By the reading of Rita Monaldi's and Francesco Sorti's "Imprimatur" J.O. was led to this centuries-old Rondo by François Couperin, and he has resurrected this piece with a Harpsichord (bass) and a "physical modeling guitar" of an extremely known VST instrument. Of course Minouche is familiar with the work of Monsieur Couperin. We have listened together with rapt attention to the spatial arrangement and the playfully passionate putting into action. Again and again. J. O. Simon has indeed followed his heart, and this inspired performance of this calm and warm piece - where modern equipment and musical sensitivity meet - should simply be a true joy for old and new friends of classical music! Merci beaucoup!" (Syngularity, RCats, 16.8.2005) |
